Junior School
On Thursday 15th February 2018, Year 2 took a trip to Pedopolis in Glyfada. The children were there to enhance their understanding of actions which help the environment: REDUCING, REUSING, RECYCLING and REPLACING. The children learned how these 4 concepts apply to everyday life; what daily behaviour helps the environment; how to reduce, recycle and reuse items; and the difference between reusable and nonreusable items.
They understood how paper can be created either by recycling old paper or by cutting down trees and were taught step by step how to make their own recycled paper! A valuable lesson to be sure!
